English Essay Writing Competition commenced with a prayer song by the students of II Commerce.

The topics of the competition were announced well in advance to the students.

Time limit allotted was one hour. The essay to be written in two hundred words. The criteria for the judgement is theme based, content, presentation, creativity and vocabulary.

Zulaika Shahina, Secretary for Cultural and Literary read out criteria for the judgement of the competition to the participants. The competition helped the students in enhancing their creative and critical thinking skills. Students were able to learn how to formulate and defend their own arguments, using evidence effectively and improve their overall writing skills.

Mrs. Rithin Joyline D Almieda Lecturer in English was in charge of the competition.
