“Mahatma Gandhi a man who never believed in fight, but he always chose what was right.” Gandhi Jayanti is a national festival celebrated in India to mark the birth anniversary of Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi. On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, we all thank this great saint for securing freedom for our country.

With the deep sense of gratitude and homage students of Ladyhill Victoria Composite P. U. College celebrated Gandhi Jayanthi on October 2nd 2024 in college conference hall. The celebration commenced with a multi religion-based prayer service and the assembly continued with the pleasant rendition of song ‘Raghupati Raghav Rajaram….’. Sr. Sharmila A.C. College Vice Principal along with Mrs. Rithin lecturer in English, K Panchami Shenoy College President and Gayana M J College Vice President lit the lamp in honor of Mahatma Gandhiji. Principles of Gandhiji and the need to inculcate these values among students were highlighted. Fathima Shazia compered the programme. The programme concluded with the college anthem.

“Be clean and keep India clean.” As a part of the celebration, Shramadaan was orgainsed to imbibe the spirit of Swachh Bharat Campaign, thereby supporting the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. Students actively participated in the cleaning of the campus. We applaud the efforts of the team!
