International Yoga Day is observed every year on June 21 to raise awareness about this ancient practice and to celebrate the physical and spiritual prowers that yoga has brought to the world. Yoga is a practice which plays an important role in relaxing the mind and body and boosting people’s immune system.

Today on 21st June 2024, Ladyhill Victoria P.U. College Urwa celebrated 10th International Yoga Day by 1st Science. It was attended by many prominent Lecturers, Vice Principal and Students with great enthusiasm. The event began with welcoming the guest of honor Mrs. Kavitha, Director and Instructor at Ladyhill Victoria High school by Ms. Ahana from 1st Science.

Warm up exercises were taken and all the students practiced & performed sitting and standing asanas, importance of these were explained simultaneously. She encouraged students to practice regular yoga to remain fit and improve concentration. All Faculties, Staff and children were taught the importance of Yoga in their life & how to maintain the harmony between body and mind. The students discussed the importance of yoga and also exhibited yoga postures and promised to introduce this activity in their daily lives. The brief importance about Yoga is read by Ms. Prathibha Kataraki from 1st Science.

International Yoga Day celebrations ended with a huge success under the supervision. The function ended with a vote of thanks by Ms. Mallavva from 1st Science.
