The Ladyhill Victoria Girls’ High School, students were given information about those materials which are harmful to the environment and means of reducing it. Awareness is created among the students by our ex-student Mrs. Mangala Bhat "Plastic is dangerous to environment, because its non-biodegradable". To reach the society every student, staff and non teaching staff encouraged to refuse the use of plastic bags instead use cloth bags. Nearly 1,000 cloth bags were distributed to the students. They have been told the list of materials which can be reduced or re-used in their daily life. They have been told not to "use and throw things" but learn to minimise unnecessary things and re-cycle those materials which can be re-cycled under the theme" Reduce, re-use and recycle".

To say no to plastic, students prepared More than 2,000 paper bags and distributed to the shop keepers such as groceries, medical, vegetable and fruit vendors. There was good response from the shop keepers.
