Mangaluru June 5: Ladyhill Victoria School organized a special event to mark the World Environment day on its campus. Many competitions were held on the theme “Plastic free India”, such as Drawing, Collage, Slogan writing Etc. Students participated enthusiastically in these competitions emphasis on the need to build a green world was shown through decorating the umbrella.
Resource person Mrs.Lalitha Kalkura presided over the function. She inspired the students to work collectively for the protection of the earth and “say no to plastic”. Awareness of disadvantages of using plastic was shown through video clippings.
In the afternoon all the students and teachers of college, high school, Kannada and English Primary took part in the procession form Ladyhill circle to Hathill Chilimbi Road with their Drawings, and pluck Cards, trying to bring awareness among people to adopt green ways of life through their slogans.
